HEAVY DUTY CONCAVE BLADES AND The I-4200 is one of Salford’s next generation, patented, hybrid vertical tillage tools. Designed to combine the residue mixing capabilities of a disc with the field finish characteristics of a cultivator – the Salford I-4200 has it all. The I-4200 has 5 inch blade spacing overall, with two rows of 22 inch concave blades followed by two rows of 22 inch wavy coulters. The coulters are carried by the heavy Coil-Tech II blade mount that improve Salford’s ground penetration while maintaining the industry leading clearance and obstacle protection. The front two rows of concave blades have the power to level ruts and maximize residue incorporation. The rear two rows of 22 inch wavy blade coulters improve residue sizing and incorporation, accelerating residue break down and warming seedbeds. This superior seedbed preparation improves planter seed placement, promoting more even, rapid, germination without creating density layers that can slow and stunt plant growth. The combination of independently mounted blade types provides effective mechanical weed control, stronger performance in high-residue or wet conditions compared to compact discs or disc gang-style VT machines. The I-4200 can be equipped with Salford’s FlexFinish hydraulically adjustable attachments for additional versatility. FlexFinish hydraulically adjustable tine harrows and rolling baskets allow the finishing attachments to be adjusted to residue volume and varying field moisture without leaving the cab. |
